BLUG was started in 1998 by a small group of computer geeks in Bellingham, Washington who wanted to get off Windows and learn from local Unix gurus. Our focus is on Linux and all Open Source software.
We hold a presentation meeting the first Thursday of the month at Bellingham Technical College in Campus Center room 201 (CC201). On the third Wednesday, we hold an informal organization meeting with the time and location being Bellingham Makerspace (located in the Bellisfair Mall, next to Dicks Sporting Goods). We also put on special events including the regional LinuxFest Northwest in the Spring.

This Thursday, May 10th, is the regular monthly meeting of BLUG’s DotOrg Committee.
We’ll meet from 7pm until 9pm in the library of RE Sources which is located above the RE Store on 2309 Meridian Street, in Bellingham (access is from the alley via stairs in back).

On Thursday, May 3rd, at BTC, in room D5, from 6:30pm til 9pm, BLUG will have it’s regular open to the public meeting. May’s meeting includes:
“Hands-on Help Time”, Linux News,and Linux Q&A discussion.
Instead of a presentation this month, the entire meeting will be dedicated to “Hands-on Help Time” including installation help and Linux Q&A discussion.
Sooo, bring your computer or laptop and let the BLUG folks give you a hand.

BLUG will have a dedicated “Hands-on Help Time” starting at 6:30pm, 1/2 hour prior to the regular 7pm start time. This time will offer devoted hands-on help for anyone with a Linux issue. Sooo, bring your computer or laptop and let the BLUG folks give you a hand.
This month’s presentation:
Grant Regimbal will be presenting on implementing cloud technology. Focus will be on using OpenSource tools to build a small cloud server that will provide a central file storage and office suite with a no-ip dyndns updater and free domain name.

BLUG/LFNW Pizza at Rudy’s Pizzeria Sat Jan 14th

On Saturday, January 14th, from 5pm until 8pm at Rudy’s Pizzeria help us celebrate with fellow BLUGrs another successful year of BLUG, LFNW and Linux over pizza.
Rudy’s Pizzeria is located at 1230 N. State St. in Bellingham (just two doors south of the YMCA).
This is a fun annual event for BLUG/LFNW family and friends.
