Our monthly BLUG/LFNW business meeting is this Thursday Aug 11th at
our NEW Location:

The Gaston Bay Building (home of SuSE Bellingham)

Our host James Mason will have the front door open 15 minutes
before the start of the meeting.

The meeting will be from 7pm til 9pm.

All those who wish to participate and have a voice in our decision making

Blug mtg & BBQ picnic this Thursday Aug 4th at Whacom Falls Park

This month’s regular BLUG meeting will be a BBQ and Picnic.
Come out from behind your X sessions and server rooms,
and join us in the sunshine for a picnic at Whatcom Falls Park.
Bring your well-charged laptop for hands-on help at 6:30,
then we’ll do the news and have an open discussion at 7pm.
Pop, burgers, and hot dogs will be provided;
if you have special dietary needs, or just want to cook a steak,
the grill will be available for you own DIY projects as well.
Feel free to bring a friend who’d like to meet our local Linux
& free software community!

BLUG/LFNW DotOrg mtg Thursday July 14th AT INVENT COWORKING

Our regular BLUG/LFNW organizational committee meeting
will be held this month at the Invent Coworking space.

JD will meet us in the lobby of the Crown Plaza bldg at 7pm.

Once everyone is gathered in the lobby we’ll all go the
meeting room together.

BLUG meeting Thurs July 7th at The Foundry -NOT at BTC

Our regular Thursday July 7th meeting of the Bellingham User Group
will be at The Foundry and NOT BTC.

Mary Keane will be providing a hands-on tour of The Foundry;
instead of seeing artifacts made with The Foundry’s equipment,
we’ll be able to see the equipment in use, get a feel for the space,
and discover for ourselves the kind of work (and play) we
could do there.
 In Addition, Jeff Kerr, inventor of the Kerrby 3D printer,
and all-around ‘making’ expert will be available during
his weekly ‘office hours’.

The Foundry is food/drink/beer friendly, so feel free to bring
a beverage or snack for yourself, and maybe one to share.

“Hands-on Help Time” from 6:30pm til 7pm,
  BLUG/LFNW & Linux News,
  Q&A, and a presentation by David Griffith

“Hands-on Help Time”
Starting at 6:30pm, 1/2 hour prior to the regular 7pm start time,
BLUG offers hands-on help for anyone with a Linux problem.
Bring your computer and let the BLUG folks give you a hand.

Presentation by David Griffith:
David Griffith will give a brief presentation on text adventures, their
history, how to play old and new text adventures, and how new ones may be
written.

ROOM CC201, on the 2nd floor of BTC’s new Campus Center Building.
